Our History

Vinylcord was born in 2019 out of a cramped apartment, a second-hand turntable, and a deep obsession with the crackle of analog sound. What started as a weekend passion project—digging through crates at local shops and estate sales—quickly grew into something bigger: a mission to reconnect people with the timeless experience of vinyl.

Founded by longtime friends and music enthusiasts, Vinylcord began as a small online store with just a few dozen records. Word spread fast. Music lovers from all over started reaching out, looking for specific pressings, hidden gems, or just to share stories of their first record. That’s when we knew—this was more than just a shop; it was a community.

By 2021, we expanded our catalogue to include thousands of titles across genres—jazz, rock, soul, hip-hop, indie, and everything in between. We partnered with collectors, labels, and local artists to bring both classic and fresh sounds to shelves around the world.

Today, Vinylcord is proud to serve a global audience of vinyl lovers. And while we’ve grown, our mission remains the same: to preserve the magic of analog music and make vinyl accessible to everyone, from first-timers to lifelong crate-diggers.
